In October 2020, the Commission adopted a new DEI statement and policies in the Gorge 2020 Management Plan. One of the policies directs the Gorge Commission to develop a DEI Plan to address systemic inequities identified or discovered in its work and policies. The draft DEI Strategic Plan was adopted by the Gorge Commission on December 13, 2022.
