Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Workplan

In October 2020, the Commission adopted a new DEI statement and policies in the Gorge 2020 Management Plan. One of the policies directs the Gorge Commission to develop a DEI Plan to address systemic inequities identified or discovered in its work and policies. The DEI workplan is divided into two phases, shown in the timeline below. Phase I, which began in late 2020 and is estimated to continue until the end of 2021, consists of internal commission and staff discovery work and development of a DEI Plan. Phase II, starting in early 2022, will be the implementation of the DEI Plan.
