Amy Weissfeld

Amy has been an active community member, living, working, recreating and raising her two children in the Columbia River Gorge since 1996. The feeling of coming home every time she passes Troutdale at Exit 17 on I-84 and enters the National Scenic Area is palpable - as the strip malls and billboards give way to our incredible river and cascade mountain views. She’s honored to serve Gov Inslee and the residents of WA on the Gorge Commission.

Amy has served on various boards and commissions in Stevenson and throughout the Gorge over the years, learning the value of listening, collaborating and leading. She served as a Stevenson City Councilwoman for 12 years, beginning in 2010. Some of the boards served on include the Skamania County Economic Development Board, United Way of the Gorge, the Skamania County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Advisory Committee. She holds a BA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Arizona State University.

As a local business owner and entrepreneur, Amy has worked in software sales, website design and development, and currently as the founder of The Joyful Self Love Institute in sex education.

She brings her passion for the Gorge Commission’s mission, a dedication to our local people, and an understanding of our local and regional economy to the board. As a life-long recreationalist, a parent, a homeowner, a business owner and a conservationist in the Gorge, there’s much to love about a well-managed National Scenic Act. She resides in Stevenson, WA with her husband, Ken Levy and looks forward to another day of play in the gorgeous area some of us are lucky enough to call home.
