Recreation Intensity Classes Acreage

Recreation Intensity Classes (RIC) are an overlay to the underlying land use designations.  The RICs indicate suitable levels of recreation use and facility development, ranging from very-low intensity to high-intensity.  RICs do not supercede any provisions of underlying land use designations.

This table provides good estimates of land area by recreation intensity class.  The accuracy of the acreages is limited by the coarseness of the spatial data.
